Order Buttcrack City
from CD Baby!

If you listened to crossover radio in the mid to late seventies, you probably heard Jim Parker. We called him Jimmy back then when he was working the college and club circuits, singing commercials, opening concerts for folks like Ray Charles, Kenny Rogers, Seals & Crofts, Phoebe Snow, BJ Thomas, and recording background vocals for others.

Just as his records began to sell (She’s Got A Way, Without You, Two Together) and his career was tracking skyward, he discovered that 250 shows a year chasing an Elektra Asylum deal doesn’t do much for a new marriage. So, he made a hard right turn into the world of healthcare, pharmaceutical sales, marketing & management.

In 1999, he stumbled into some old music buddies and moved south to Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee to write, sing, and chase cuts on Music Row.

His beloved premiere 1999 CD “Buttcrack City” has sold well under a million copies, and Jim is in the process of putting together his next release “Dancin' In the Kitchen”.
